New Manager of Community Relations Joins HOPE

Ian joined HOPE on September 2nd as our Manager of Community Relations.  He is responsible for implementing community outreach, donor cultivation and communication strategies to grow support and funding for our mission. Prior to joining our team he served an AmeriCorps year with LISC implementing tutoring services for at-risk youth in Santa Ana and 8 years at LINC Housing coordinating a statewide volunteer resource management system. He attended CSULB where he obtained a bachelor's degree in English.

Ian says he lives by the motto quoted by the late Jackie Robinson, "A life is not important, except in the impact it has on other lives." He was born in Norwalk and has lived in Long Beach for more than 15 years. He is happy to give a highlights list of his adopted hometown's must-visit neighborhoods and sites. Most of all, he is passionate about improving housing equality, and HOPE is happy to have him a part of our team!
