Next Round of Lawn to Garden Initiative Taking Place This Saturday, November 21st
HOPE continues its efforts to implement sustainable housing practices, as it moves toward its next Lawn to Garden project on Saturday, November 21st. Once again this initiative is in partnership with Rebuilding Together Long Beach and the Long Beach Water Department. Its objective is to do our part to save water during this period of extreme drought, as well as create opportunities to lower the housing costs for those we serve.

This time around the project will focus on a HOPE home in Long Beach off of Euclid Avenue. These events continues to be a community effort as volunteers from Boeing will arrive at 8:30 AM to provide the sweat-equity needed to convert this water-wasting lawn into a drought tolerant landscape. The following socially-conscious businesses in the area have pledged to donate the plants necessary for the event's success: H&H Nursery in Lakewood, Lomita Plant Growers in Wilmington, Garibaldo's Nursery in Bellflower and Sunflower Farms in Gardena!
